Brusque and sugariness, when I objected to i of their managers, Erick who works at the customer service dept. due his poor and disrespectful behavior, I said I'll written report you lot guys to Consumer Affairs, his response: "I've heard this thousands of times!" That is how many dissatisfied customers they have. I am throwing this piece of trash which I paid close to 4k out and purchase a new one from another company, There are much better companies, don't waste material your money on these people

Nosotros purchased and had the stairlift installed last February 2021. My hubby has heart disease and Parkinsons. It was difficult for him to navigate the stairs considering of the heart illness, however, the Parkinsons fabricated the stairs impossible. The salesman came to the house; we discussed the chair and its benefits, and based on his presentation we purchased the chair. 2 days later a technician came and installed the chairlift. We were very happy with both of these gentlemen and we were very happy with the chair. Our experience with the chairlift, the initial the salesperson and the installer was great! Based on our experience with both gentlemen we would recommend the chair; The chair works perfectly.

My husband uses the chair 2 times a solar day. He comes downwards dressed in the morning and goes up to bed at night. We were happy and recommended the Acorn stairlift to anybody. Still, all of that inverse when our initial service agreement expired at the end of the year. We have had no problems with the chair. It works perfectly. In 1 yr my husband has used the chair approximately 700+ times. I don't utilise the chair, and we don't use the chair as a delivery system for stuff going upwardly or coming down the stairs. There are no small children in the firm; our grandchildren are adults.

We were very happy with the chair and with Acorn until we received a telephone call from the service agreement salesperson. We decided based on our experience with the chair, nosotros were not interested in paying $500+ for the extensive service plan. We would however, pay the $250 to have the equipment checked out. The outset time the sales understanding salesperson called my husband hung up on him because he was belligerent. My husband told him nosotros were not interested in the expensive extended service program. Weeks later the gentleman chosen again; the conversation continued as earlier and this time the salesperson hung up on my husband.

Th, we received some other call and this time information technology was my turn. The salesperson was argumentative with me. I told him I had no problem paying $250 and having the tech come out and look over the equipment merely I thought the other plan was excessive and not needed. I told him if we only use the chair maybe 800 times a year, the chair, and its batteries should last longer than one yr. He countered with "people getting their robe defenseless and coins dropping in the track". Yes, all this could happen but not every year. I told him I would pay $250 just non the $500+. He connected to argue with me, because for him, the expensive service plan was the goal. Finally, he could tell by my tone of voice that I was washed and I no longer was going to be polite. He decided that I was non changing my heed he said he would close the business relationship.

For us the initial experience was bully. The chair is peachy! The warranty salesperson was belligerent and rude! The chair fulfilled our needs and based on that I would recommend the chair. Simply be aware the high pressure is coming at the end of the year! My husband and I have been in customer service and fiscal services for more than fifty years - we know how to make a person "feel warm and fuzzy" toward our production or service - the loftier force per unit area salesperson for the warranty is not the manner to practice information technology.

I didn't have a not bad experience with this visitor. Sales personnel are all about making money, not customer back up. My father had an initial stairlift installed that was inoperable. No troubleshooting was offered, only an opportunity for the sales representative to make a dollar, Acorn's bottom line. By the Grace of God, my family was able to inquiry and find replacement batteries for the stairlift and it works great. The lesson in all this for my family is be your own best abet. Do your homework and research before purchasing from this company.

I take service contract. I have been calling for over a month most moving lift to new house. Initially I called iii times, talked with person, left 3 voicemail. No response. On 11/one/21 9:xix cut off subsequently hold x min. At 10:50 for 10 min with music and then got recording to leave a message which I did. Then joined Acorn gild because site stated better mode to communicate so I did to hopefully become a response. xi/4/21 still no response so did another bulletin through club. Have never been contacted. Wonder if BBB or chaser general of country might help lots of calls to purchase service contract. Which I did merely no response when I demand service. Experience like all resources directed toward sales. No focus on service. I feel like I've been robbed.

Buyers beware. The sale team and installation was proficient. However you can't sell on the product. My family purchased two lifts from Acorn. The second to replace the first one. It was a straight one replaced past a curved one. Nosotros spend over £7000. Sadly after 12 months we found ourselves accept to sell the house and stairlift. The 2nd one price £4350. They refused to allow u.s. to sell information technology back. They do non seek parts to other firms. So other firms volition non accept the sometime one. Managed to sell it for £300. Loosing £4000. Buyer beware. I felt scammed.

Mom was given an estimate for a stairlift on Wed, ten/13. Told we had to think in one twenty-four hour period to proceed the toll. Mom chosen and went forrad. It was installed Friday 10/15. Though it is dainty, it does non fit well and nosotros discovered it as we tried it out less than 1 day having it. I tell salesperson Saturday, ten/16, morning and on Monday morning. He says he will tell his company. I get no call dorsum. I call later Monday and was told system is down so no paperwork can be generated for returns. Also they are only scheduling installations since organization is down. I telephone call Tuesday (today, ten/19). Now I am told system is yet down and to telephone call a month from now to remove. They are merely doing installs. I am not sure how, if the system is downwards, that installs are fine but removals are not. If they cared most the client, they would handle both things evenly.

Go along in mind, I just want information technology removed. Not fifty-fifty looking for a refund considering their contract says "All Sales are Final". I only need it out of the business firm. Of course, there is a removal fee. I am willing to pay. Doesn't seem to matter. I don't even mention beingness upset near existence sold something that doesn't fit right. But, since they are making my life difficult, I will mention that a company with ethics would not have sold the elevator to u.s. knowing the stairs are narrow and our landing is small where the track and chair block the door. Very disappointed in the whole treatment of this. They have $3200 of my money and this is the level of service I get. The lift is nice to be fair. I wish we could go on it. Nosotros merely tin can't function with information technology on a daily ground though it would help my Dad a neat bargain.

Ordered and made one/2 payment the first of September and was given an install date of Sept.28. They called and cancelled... said installer broke his leg. Rescheduled for October xiii. They didn't even bother to call this time. Waited all twenty-four hour period for a no-show. Made numerous calls, put on hold or hung up. Three days of calling and emails before someone finally told me that the man who gave me the Oct. 13 appointment was not authorized to do so. Got a call concluding night from Michael... Said at present scheduled for October 27 and could not do better because he simply has 1 installer in the whole Land! AVOID THIS COMPANY Similar THE PLAGUE.

Updated on 10/thirteen/2021: Afterward publishing a negative written report here on the botched repair of my outdoor stair lift. Acorn contacted me to set a time and date for an agent to come hither and examine my complaint. The date established was today between 1200 and 1700 hours. Information technology is now 1817 hours and they have not shown upwardly hither nor contacted me to explain why. I was hoping that this report would exist a positive one and that they would make the repairs I needed.

Original Review: I called for service for a noncharging stairlift. The tech said that the repairs could not be guaranteed because wires were taped in the unit. Wires not taped but butt connected wired components. Replaced batteries and a lower limit door that he broke in servicing my unit of measurement. Unit worked until the new batteries went dead. He never cleaned the contacts for the charge source until he was done with whatever he did. Then merely cleaned the lower contacts. I tin but presume the tech was untrained as he did not know that there were butt connectors in the unit of measurement and assumed that the connections were taped, that he broke the lower limit door and didn't know the charge circuit was not working. What a rip off.

I installed Acorn stairlift at my house in June 2019 and I purchased v extra years warranty as peace of mind. A real Problem started in May 2021 my lift doesn't work properly. Since so I am calling this company every week from May 2021 till Monday August 23 with no luck... I telephone call at least 18 fourth dimension and every fourth dimension I call they're promised me and assuring me that someone will call me back soon. Unfortunately NO 1 CALLED ME Dorsum not even one time out of the 18 call. If I rent another supplier to fixed information technology's volition cost me a lots. I don't know what to do.
